The power of soul

Their
first album Sweet Soul Music Vol. 1 contains classics from the history of
soul –some as more or less orthodox adaptations and others less recognisable
and more personal–, apart from their own
items with a flavour of the classics (Speeding
my heart, first single in the album;
I Don’t Know, with some arrangements that recall Amy Winehouse; the
personal Runaway Gal or the splendid Oldie Goldie and New Life Running).

The
Lucilles are continuing along the road opened up by Joss Stone, Esperanza
Spalding, Eli Paperboy Reed or Amy Winehouse, and are contributing their bit
towards the current re-invention of classical soul.
