The members of this trio are all young musicians living in Barcelona who, over recent years, have played in many of the best clubs on the peninsular, including Jamboree, Harlem Jazz Club, La Bilbaina Jazz Club (Bilbao), the Vitoria-Gasteiz and San Sebastian Jazz Festivals, Black Music Festival, La Jazz Cava in Terrassa, the Ciutat Vella de Barcelona Jazz Festival, L’Hora del Jazz (Memorial TeteMontoliu) and the Arteca Club (Ibiza), among others.
Sharing both these revivalist spirits, **AssTrío** is both funky and wild, without ever forgetting the importance of improvisation for improvisation’s sake. The band was forged in Barcelona’s live performance clubs, the true acid test for this type of music which often suffers from a lack of black spirit – an unforgivable sin on the groove scene!
