Aterkings

Aterkings was formed in the year 2000 in Markina, Bizkaia. The link that binds the band members together is their love for rock and roll, and indeed, that is how they met, making waves in rock concerts held in different cities in the Basque Country.
Having played previously in other bands (Taupada, 6Nemen9, etc.), one day they got together to pay tribute to some of their favourite groups: Little Richard, Chuck Berry, the Sonics, the Wailers and Mc5, and that is how Aterkings was formed, a band that now composes its own tracks and plays live in venues both large and small.
Inspired by classic rock bands without turning their backs on good punk, in 2002 they brought out a rough cut CD which contained both original tracks and covers, which the band sold directly to their fans.
In March 2005 they brought out their first full length album with the label Gaztelupeko Hotsak. The album contains 15 original tracks and one cover, most sung in Basque with a few tracks in both English and Spanish.
