This is a solid R&B band based in Barcelona, ​​which combines elements of electric Blues, Gospel, Groove and Jazz to offer exciting and energetic rhythms. It is a group made up of four musicians with a long career who now join together to have the most fun on stage and offer the public a powerful repertoire, in which the three soloists alternate with the warm and powerful voice of Víctor Puertas.

Balta Bordoy, an expert Majorcan guitarist specializing in Blues and R&B, is known for his work as a “sideman”, accompanying figures such as James Harman, Sax Gordon, Alex Schultz, Keith Dunn or Barrelhouse Chuck. In his 30-year career he has absorbed the sounds of T-Bone Walker, Johnny “Guitar” Watson, Otis Rush or B.B. King, to name a few.

For several years now, he has been living in Barcelona, ​​where he is part of such renowned projects as ‘Lluís Coloma Quartet’, ‘Big Dani Perez Quartet’, ‘Big Mama Montse Band’ or ‘Myriam Swanson & The Rythm Treasures’. In Mallorca, he also leads the band ‘Los Peligrosos Gentlemen’. In 2018, Balta decided to form his own band and, after a few years collaborating with Víctor in different formations, the idea of ​​the present quartet arose.
Víctor Puertas is a prestigious harmonica player, singer and pianist from Barcelona, ​​internationally known for his performances with the ‘Suitcase Brothers’ and his quintet ‘Víctor Puertas & The Mellow Tones’.
This project shows the lesser-known side of Puertas: an organist at the head of a Hammond B3 and under the influence of authentic pioneers such as Bill Doggett, Wild Bill Davis, Jimmy Smith or Jimmy McGriff. At the same time, he displays his facet as a Blues and R&B singer with a style that draws on masters such as Louis Jordan, B.B.King and Ray Charles

‘Balta Bordoy & The Bad Boys feat. Víctor Puertas’ present their new album “Rock My Blues Away” live, recorded live at Feelback Studio (Bcn) by Marc Tena and published by the French record label Bluz Track. This work has brought them excellent reviews in specialized international media such as Blues Blast Magazine and Blues Junction (USA), Soulbag Magazine (France) or La Hora del Blues (Spain). The prestigious online magazine Blues Junction (USA) has chosen it as one of the 10 best albums of the year.
