Óscar Muñoz holds a degree in jazz electric bass. Alongside his tireless teaching activities, he has collaborated with artists such as Guaraná, Cómplices, Brendan Croskery and Lucía Pérez. He has also participated in albums by Huecco, Boni (Barricada), Txuma Flamarique and the Cherokee Big Band. The crowning achievement of his extensive and fruitful career is the launch of OMG (Oscar Muñoz Group) (Óscar Muñoz Group), a project featuring Muñoz himself on electric bass and compositions, alongside Navarran saxophonist Alberto Arteta, Francesco Casali on piano and keyboards, Luis Giménez on guitar and Juanma Urriza on drums. A great line-up of experienced musicians who have enjoyed long careers as performers, either leading their own projects or collaborating with artists such as Jean Marie Ecay, Andrzej Olejniczak, Marco Mezquida, Iñaki Salvador, Mikel Andueza, Pirineos Jazz Orchestra, Cherokee Big Band, Chriss Higgins, Guillermo Klein, Bob Sands and Ángel Unzu. These four musicians are clearly committed to the world of teaching and musical training. They transcend this field, putting all their knowledge and talent at the service of the creations of this Navarran musician and composer. This brings their first release, Stick, to fruition with exquisite results.

Recorded at Pottoko Studios in Beasain by Freddy Peláez, Stick is fundamentally a contemporary jazz record that embraces a wide range of sensibilities without losing an ounce of freshness or authenticity.
