Víctor Aneiros celebrates 25 years of musical career with an anniversary tour
In 2025, the Galician guitarist and composer commemorates the quarter-century anniversary of the release of his first solo album. May the Blues Be with You (2000) marked Victor Aneiros’ entry into the Spanish blues scene with a distinctive style that has characterized his entire subsequent career. The album thus reflects his influence from classic blues musicians, while incorporating a personal touch marked by his love of rock and his talent with the six-string guitar.
Throughout these 25 years of solo career, the blues-rock of his guitar has been combined with lyrics in Spanish, English and Galician, especially highlighting his work setting to music poems by great Galician authors such as Rosalía de Castro and Curros Enríquez, featured in Héroe Secreto (2008), as well as Ramiro Fonte, author of the lyrics of his album Brétemas da memoria (2010). Live in Montreux (2003), Blues do amencer (2004), A soidade pide copas nos bares (2014) and Un extraño entre la multitud (2017) complete the list of albums released as a solo artist. Throughout this quarter of a century, he has also collaborated with the Canadian singer Julie Guravich, with whom he released Back from the blues (2012) and, more recently, with Paula Martíns, with whom under the name Martíns Aneiros Band they released Rain (2023).
