This
disc includes many of Cash’s most well-known songs, from the early successes to
original songs included in the series American Recordings which have
already become classics. All performed by a broad range of punk-rock bands
(Vómito, Hysteria, Carniceros del Norte, Porco Bravo or Morfi Grei, former
member of La Banda
Trapera del Río, among others), glam bands (Diaboli Kash),
hardcore bands (Zartako), metal (Elenco, Ratzinger, Arbian), southern rock
(Hash), blues (Last Fair Deal, Petti, Travelling Brothers) and rock & roll
(Los Rotos). Zarama’s contribution to the disc deserves a special mention. Instead
of producing an adaptation, the band from Santurtzi has produced an item as a
tribute to Cash, Jon & Johnny Cash, which combines the txistu (Basque flute), country and the aurresku (Basque dance of honour).
