BARRENCE WHITFIELD & MFC CHICKEN

Barrence Whitfield—the powerhouse shouter from Boston—and MFC Chicken—London’s premier purveyors of party rock ‘n’ roll and garage soul—return with another wild dose of rock ‘n’ roll and rhythm and blues. Barrence’s unmistakable, commanding voice blends perfectly with the greasy, high-octane, poultry-infused rock ‘n’ roll that only MFC Chicken can deliver.

Barrence Whitfield is a wild and powerful performer who has been delivering explosive vocal performances for over 40 years—and he remains as active and in as fine form as ever. Whether with The Savages or as a solo artist, Barrence always gives his all. He is now backed by the magnificent frat-rock-and-roll band MFC Chicken, with whom he revisits the repertoire from his early days—the period when he first launched his career alongside The Savages. Barrence and Spencer Evoy—frontman and saxophonist for MFC Chicken—are long-time associates who have worked together on numerous occasions; most recently, Spencer appeared as a guest on Barrence’s latest LP with The Savages, *Glory*, playing baritone saxophone and joining the band on tours across Europe and the United States. For nearly four years, they have been performing together—with shows in the UK, Italy, Spain, the Basque Country, Sweden, and Finland—reinterpreting his classic repertoire alongside a few tasty, hidden gems. They call this collaboration the “CHICKEN WHITFIELD” experience.
