STEINBERT / COBOS QUARTET

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Curro Ureba at Trafalgar Estudios in El Palmar, Vejer, Cádiz, this record defines a clear intersection revolving around the individual personalities of these two guitarists and their affinity for creating a common language. Complementary compositions, such as Steinbert’s dynamic Simple Things and Cobos’s elegant Pictures, demonstrate their collaboration under the excellent foundation established by Ander García and Nacho Megina in the rhythm section.

Steinbert contributes Bossa Overthinking and the thrilling Relaxin’ at Casa Pueblo, passing on to Cobos on Blue Serenade. The band opens new spaces where rhythmic games and improvisation coexist in songs such as Nothing New and Winter’s Lullaby, featuring Ander Garcia’s essential contribution. Last Chance and Bossa the Breeze propose a new dynamic full of color and new textures. The album concludes with Full House, an original song by Wes Montgomery, arranged by Steinbert and Cobos.

Steinbert and Cobos encounter two seasoned artists who, despite their extensive background and insight, maintain the core of those who merely engage with the objects they cherish.
