CAPSULA: Journeys and albums
ONE
– The Argentinean-Bilbao band has given two successful concerts this
week in Bogota (Colombia), at the Centro Festival http://www.festivalcentro.org/.
TWO
– In March, they will return to the USA. For the third
year running they will participate in the SXSW Festival in Austin (Texas), due
to be held from 13 to 18 of that month.
THREE
– During their trip, they will record their new album, a personal
performance of the songs featured in the album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars by David
Bowie. During the recording, they will be
working once again with the North American producer John Agnello. The
album will be recorded in New York, in the WaterMusic
studios, which have heard the sound of some of the all-time greats, such as the
Allman Brothers, Franz Ferdinand, John Cale and Sonic Youth. Gaizka
Izunza, a member of Audience, will also be crossing the
Atlantic to participate in the recording.
FOUR
-They will soon be bringing out new versions of the band’s first
recordings: –‘Sublime’ (1999), ‘Yudoka’ (2000)
and ‘Capsula’ (2002), with revamped
designs and even some new tracks. Re-recorded, remixed and re-mastered, these
three albums will bring Capsula firmly into 2012, with songs in both Spanish
and English. In
