KARIDADEKO BENTA bringing together sounds from all over the world
March 18, 2004
The formation of the group is eminently acoustic, combining instruments such as the helicon, trumpet, clarinet, five-string double bass and percussion, similarly to the orchestras from yesteryear, in an attempt to combine tradition and modernity. The group’s repertoire mixes sounds by Remedios Amaya and Paulino Uzcudun with the music of Txirrita and Pello Errota. Their recently recorded first album will be coming out this autumn.
