The CD recorded by the Basque artists Mikel Urdangarin, Rafa Rueda, Bingen Mendizabal and Kirmen Uribe, and produced by Gaztelupeko Hotsak, has been chosen among the best ten poetry & music recordings of 2004 by the prestigious literature critics Bob Holman, member of the Bowery Poetry Club in New York, and Margery Snyder, famous poetess from San Francisco. “Casting our eyes back across 2004 in the poetry world,” they have written, “we’ve chosen the best poetry & spoken word recordings, the ones you’ll want to remember from the past year”. www.poetry.about.com.

Zaharregia, txikiegia agian was sixth in that list, along with artists like Allen Ginsberg, Leonard Cohen, Youssou N’Dour and Lou Reed. The title translates “Too Old, Too Small, Maybe”. It’s a book in a CD package of the poetry by Kirmen Uribe, sung by Mikel Urdangarin, and played by Urdangarin, Rueda and Mendizabal. In his early 30s, Uribe is already thought of by many as the Basque National Poet.
