Side
A: Bidaurreta has revived Tómbola, the 1970s hit composed by Augusto
Algueró and which the singer Marisol made popular in Spain by giving it a
Latino touch; and The Look of Love (1967), a romantic ballad written
by the American pop composer and pianist Burt Bacharach and which Dusty
Springfield performed in the James Bond film Casino Royale. The two
songs are sung here by the Moldovan singer Viorica, who is a fixture in the
Jimmy Bidaurreta productions, and in the case of Tómbola, the Gasteiz
Big Band, which Bidaurreta directs, also took part.

Side
B kicks off with a startling electronic arrangement and lounge and
sound track that Bernard Hermann created for that thriller film masterpiece Psycho
(Alfred Hitchcock, 1960), and ends with a sensual theme composed by Jimmy
Bidaurreta entitled ser-G, inspired by Serge Gainsbourg, but which is
used to pay tribute to the greats in French song, like Edith Piaf, Jacques
Brel.

Txarly
Brown is the author of the delightful disc design, as he was of the previous
ones.
